Certified under Katie Scharr and Dr. Nick Cutri, I became a Sugarfoot Therapy Instructor in 2019, where I have been able to offer injury prevention and conditioning courses for dancers through AMDA Performing Arts College, Debbie Reynolds Scholarship Program, Hollywood Connection Dance Convention, MOTI Physiotherapy Clinic, Open Doors Dance Festival, Repertory Dance Theater, Virtual international instruction, University Ballet Summer Intensive, and most recently within the curriculum of the University of Utah, School of Dance.

Please join me for a class, every Monday on Zoom! 5pm PST.  $5

Sugarfoot Therapy is a conditioning program created by Los Angeles-based Doctors of Physical Therapy in collaboration with many competitive and professional dancers. Used by dancers and dance educators worldwide, Sugarfoot Therapy brings the exercises of sports physical therapy to dancers. When practiced regularly, these exercises are scientifically proven to help reduce injury risk and enhance performance.

Sugarfoot Therapy bridges the gap between the principles of functional biomechanics and dance technique, creating functionally authentic movements to warm-up, mobilize, and stabilize the dancer’s body in all three planes of motion: Sagittal, Frontal, and Transverse planes.

Sugarfoot Therapy is optimal for every kind of dance, and will strengthen your body so that the artist in you can move freely. With the use of therabands, body-weight, and sometimes loaded weight, Sugarfoot is a dance conditioning program that is approachable, translates across dance genres, and is applicable to different settings from the PT clinic to the studio setting to backstage.
